Santos Laguna vs Puebla – Jornada 12 Recap and Highlights

Neither team could find the breakthrough in this one as Santos Laguna and Puebla played out a 0-0 draw. The result keeps the Laguneros winless at home this season – and winless in three overall – while the Poblanos remain winless in six.

Puebla started the game off well and they had the first chance in the 4th minute, when Lucas Cavallini’s shot from inside the box was saved by Carlos Acevedo. Two minutes later, Brayan Angulo and Cavallini combined before Acevedo made another save to keep the game goalless.

Cavallini found another opportunity in the 11th minute with a left-footed shot, but once again Acevedo was there to intervene.

In the second half, Santos began to find a few chances of their own. Their best opportunity came in the 65th minute through Djaniny, but Fabián Villaseñor punched his shot away for a corner kick.

Neither team was ultimately able to stamp their authority on the game, which was played mostly in midfield. Both sides are getting increasingly desperate for points, but the breakthrough wouldn’t come and they had to settle for a goalless draw.

With the 0-0 draw, Santos reaches nine points while Puebla reaches eight.
