After their 1-2 loss to Santos Laguna on Saturday, Querétaro has parted ways with coach Jaime “Jimmy” Lozano, as well as sporting president Joaquín Beltrán and administrative president Arturo Villanueva.
Official communication.
Replacing Lozano, who was promoted from assistant coach to head coach in February, is Luis Fernando Tena.
The experienced Liga MX coach last managed León in 2016.
With Querétaro sitting 18th in the league table and 17th in the relegation standings, Tena will have his work cut out for him to salvage something from the Apertura 2017 season.
