Chivas de Guadalajara Wins Apertura 2017 Femenil Title

Chivas de Guadalajara is the historic first champion of Liga MX Femenil after claiming the title in the league’s inaugural Apertura 2017 season. Chivas overcame a first-leg deficit to beat Pachuca 3-2 on aggregate in the Gran Final.

32,466 fans were in the Estadio Chivas to see the second leg, an attendance record for Liga MX Femenil, and the hosts sent the fans home happy.

Arlett Tovar scored a brace, with goals in the 36th and 55th minutes, to tie the aggregate before Norma Palafox completed the comeback with her title-winning goal in the 68th.
