Diego Cocca Named New Coach of Tijuana

Tijuana has announced the hiring of Diego Martín Cocca as head coach of the Xolos for the upcoming Clausura 2018 season.

Cocca, 45, joins Tijuana from Racing Club in his native Argentina. Mauro Néstor Gerk will be his assistant coach.

Cocca has previous experience in Mexican soccer; he coached Santos Laguna in 2011 and as a player he suited up for Atlas from 1999-2001, as well as Veracruz in 2003-4, and Querétaro in 2005.

Cocca takes over for interim manager Diego Torres.
