The game started off well for the hosts, who took the lead in just the 8th minute. Osvaldo Martínez sent in a corner kick and Djaniny out-jumped his marker to head the ball past Lucero Álvarez and make it 1-0.
Although Santos controlled possession after that early goal, Lobos surprised the Laguneros with a goal of their own in the 15th minute. The visitors won a free kick, which Juan Carlos Medina sent into the net to make it 1-1.
Lobos then threatened a second through Amaury Escoto, who saw his header well-saved by Jonathan Orozco. But in the 26th minute, Santos retook the lead as Djaniny scored his second of the night with his shot into the right-hand corner.
Then, in the 43rd minute, Djaniny completed his hat-trick to make it 3-1 for Santos when he finished off a through ball from Martínez to put the Guerreros comfortably ahead at the half.
Lobos tried for a comeback in the second half, and just after the restart substitute Gabriel Cortez reduced the deficit to 3-2.
However, Santos soon restored their two-goal cushion, with Carlos Izquierdoz finishing off a free kick to make it 4-2 in the 56th minute.
With the 4-2 win, Santos reaches three points while Lobos still have zero.
