Despite playing 11 v 10 for nearly 70 minutes, Lobos BUAP couldn’t break the deadlock as they drew 0-0 with Tigres UANL. The result keeps the Licántropos unbeaten in two while the universitarios remain winless in three.
Lobos came out attacking and Nahuel Guzmán was forced into several good saves to keep the hosts off the board. Then in the 21st minute, Rafael Carioca picked up a straight red card to leave Tigres with just 10 men, and it seemed like Lobos would take control of the game.
However, Lobos were unable to make their pressure count as the game went to halftime goalless.
In the second half, Lobos continued to look for the breakthrough, with Irven Ávila and Julián Quiñones keeping the defense busy.
The goals wouldn’t come, though, and then late on Tigres nearly took the lead. In the 82nd minute, substitute Enner Valencia got through the defense only to send his shot over the bar.
In the end, the scoreboard never changed and Lobos and Tigres had to settle for a share of the spoils.
With the 0-0 draw, Lobos reach five points while Tigres reach nine.
