Clausura 2018 Disciplinary Report: Week 8

The Disciplinary Committee has suspended three players and two assistant coaches and upheld a red card appeal in the aftermath of this weekend’s Jornada 8 games.

Dieter Villalpando of Necaxa and Cris Martínez of Santos Laguna were given one-game suspensions for serious foul play, while David Cabrera of Pumas UNAM was suspended one game for using offensive or insulting language and/or gestures.

Javier Güemez will not be serving a suspension after Querétaro filed a petition of non-conformity regarding his red card. The petition was upheld and Güemez is cleared to play in Querétaro’s next game.

Finally, Mauro Gerk, the assistant coach of Tijuana, and Christian Ramírez, the assistant coach of Pumas, were given one-game suspensions for insulting and/or lacking respect towards players or members of the coaching staff of the opposing team.
