Lobos BUAP vs Atlas – Jornada 4 Recap and Highlights

Neither team could find the breakthrough in this one as Lobos BUAP and Atlas played out a 0-0 draw. The result keeps the Licántropos unbeaten at home this season but winless in two overall, while the Rojinegros are still looking for their first win – and their first goal.

Atlas was looking to end their season-long scoring drought, and they found an early chance in this one, with Ulises Cardona trying his luck from the top of the box. However, Toño Rodríguez made the save in the 6th minute.

After that early opportunity, the game titled in Lobos’ favor; the hosts had the majority of possession, but they were lacking creativity in the final third. Mauro Lainez had a good chance in the 36th minute, but his header couldn’t find the target.

Then, just before halftime, Lobos won a penalty after Ismael Govea was called for a foul in the box. Colin Kazim-Richards stepped up to take the spot kick, but he sent it into the post to keep the game goalless.

It was much the same story in the second half, with neither team able to find the breakthrough as play bogged down in midfield. Atlas suffered a late scare as José Hernández fumbled a save, but the ball ultimately ended up going out for a corner kick.

In the end, the teams had to settle for a share of the spoils on a rainy night in Puebla.

With the 0-0 draw, Lobos reach four points while Atlas reaches two.
