Monarcas Morelia vs Atlas – 8:00 PM – Univision Deportes
Monarcas Morelia (14th) drew 0-0 with Necaxa last weekend to keep them winless on the road this season. Morelia is unbeaten in two overall, though, and they’ll look to keep that streak alive when they return home to the Estadio Morelos for this one. The michoacanos will also look for some more consistent scoring; they’ve managed just three goals in their four league games – although all of those goals have come at home.
As for Atlas (4th), the Rojinegros beat Lobos BUAP 3-1 last weekend to keep them unbeaten in two – and give them their first home win of the season. They did fall at home in midweek, where they lost 1-2 to Pumas UNAM in the Copa MX, but they’ll look to put that result behind them when they return to league play here. Atlas is unbeaten on the road in the Clausura, with a win and a draw, and they’ve also scored multiple goals in three of their four league games; they’ll look to outshoot Morelia’s misfiring attack in this one.
Puebla vs Necaxa – 10:00 PM – Univision Deportes
Puebla (13th) beat Veracruz 0-1 last weekend to give them their first win of the season. The Poblanos are unbeaten in two overall and are unbeaten at home, where they’ve recorded a pair of 1-1 draws to start the Clausura. Puebla will now look to build on last week’s result to get their first win in the Estadio Cuauhtémoc in this one. They’ve had some trouble scoring this season, though; they haven’t scored more than one goal in a game, and they only have three overall.
As for Necaxa (5th), the Rayos drew 0-0 with Monarcas Morelia to remain unbeaten this season. The draw did ruin their perfect start to the season, however, and they’ll be looking to get back to winning ways here. A victory could lift them into first place in the table at least temporarily, which would be an impressive feat given that the Rayos have a game in hand on most of the league due to the postponement of their Jornada 1 match.
