After the departure of Enrique Meza, Puebla has turned to a familiar face to guide the club: José Luis Sánchez Solá, better known as Chelis.
Welcome home, @ElChelis We believe in you
This will be his fourth stint in charge of the Poblanos after previously managing the team in 2006-8, 2009-10, and 2014. Chelis’s most recent coaching job was in the USL Championship with the Las Vegas Lights in 2018.
Puebla is currently sitting 14th in the table with five points, but early-season congestion means they are only two points out of the top eight and the playoff places. Their next match is away to Atlas, with their next home match coming February 15th when they host Pachuca.
