Disciplinary Report: Clausura 2019 Week 9

The Disciplinary Committee has suspended six players and opened an investigation into a coach in the aftermath of this weekend’s Jornada 9 games.

Bruno Valdez of América and Colin Kazim-Richards of Veracruz were given one-game suspensions for receiving two yellow cards in the same game, while Daniel Arreola of Puebla was suspended for yellow-card accumulation after receiving his fifth caution of the season.

Facundo Barceló of Atlas and Rodolfo Pizarro of Monterrey were suspended one game for serious foul play, and Leiton Jiménez of Lobos BUAP was given a one-game suspension for denial of a clear goal-scoring opportunity.

In addition, the Disciplinary Committee opened an official investigation into comments made by América coach Miguel Herrera at the end of the Águilas’ game against Monarcas Morelia.

Finally, Paul Aguilar was given a one-game suspension for yellow-card accumulation after he received his fifth caution of the season on Tuesday when América and Necaxa played their rescheduled Jornada 1 match.
