The final Jornada of the Clausura 2019 has not quite reached its conclusion, but all of the games with Liguilla implications have been played, with Tijuana snagging the final available playoff spot with a comprehensive 4-0 victory against Puebla.
That leaves the top eight teams as follows: León; Tigres UANL; Monterrey; Cruz Azul; América; Necaxa; Pachuca; and Tijuana.
The quarterfinal pairings have offered up a clásico, with Cruz Azul and América set to face off in the first round. The complete pairings are as follows:
León (1) vs Tijuana (8)
Tigres UANL (2) vs Pachuca (7)
Monterrey (3) vs Necaxa (6)
Cruz Azul (4) vs América (5)
The first legs are set to be played between May 8th and 9th, with the return legs coming on May 11th and 12th. The lower seed will host the first leg; away goals are tiebreakers; should the aggregate and away goals both be tied at the end of the second leg, the higher seed will advance.
Liga MX is expected to release the exact schedule on Monday.
