Disciplinary Report: Apertura 2019 Week 13

The Disciplinary Committee suspended eight players and one coach in the aftermath of this weekend’s Jornada 13 games.

The standout suspension goes to América coach Miguel Herrera, who is banned for the next three games. He was given a one-game suspension for a lack of respect towards the match officials and an additional two games for profanely insulting the officials.

América will be without a player as well, as Roger Martínez was given a one-game suspension for violent conduct.

The most affected team is Tijuana, who will be missing three players; Kevin Balanta and Ariel Nahuelpán were given one-game suspensions for serious foul play, while Camilo Sanvezzo was sanctioned for receiving two yellow cards in the same game.

César Huerta of Chivas de Guadalajara was also suspended for receiving two yellow cards, although Chivas successfully filed a petition of non-conformity regarding the red card given to Alexis Vega, who is cleared to play in El Rebaño’s next match.

Rodolfo Pizarro of Monterrey and Gaspar Iñiguez of Veracruz were both suspended one game for serious foul play.

Finally, Juan Pablo Vigón of Pumas UNAM was suspended for yellow-card accumulation after he received his fifth caution of the season.
