Atlético San Luis twice took the lead and twice failed to hold it as León came back for a 3-2 victory. The result is a second straight win for La Fiera, who remain unbeaten in three, while the Potosinos have now lost two in a row.
The visitors surprised León by taking the lead in the 20th minute. Nicolás Ibáñez got to a cross just ahead of his marker and his header beat Rodolfo Cota to make it 0-1 for San Luis.
León looked for a response and in the 28th minute, the unfortunate Mario Álvarez redirected a cross into his own net to make it 1-1 with his own-goal.
But parity lasted mere minutes before San Luis went ahead once more. In the 32nd minute, Luis Reyes sent the ball into the box and once again Ibáñez was there to head it home. 1-2 for the Potosinos.
But in the second half, León took control. Just three minutes after the restart, Ángel Mena headed home a free kick to level the game 2-2, and the early equalizer energized La Fiera.
In the 56th minute, León took the lead for the first time through Jean Meneses, whose low shot into the far corner made it 3-2 for the hosts.
San Luis was unable to fight back a third time – although they came close once or twice – even after León went down to 10 men late on with a red card to Ismael Sosa in the 88th minute.
With the 3-2 win, León reaches 26 points while San Luis still has 17.
