Cadillac Escalade-V. The most powerful in the history of the brand (video) – 4×4 Club Magazine

Some people think that the Cadillac Escalade-V looks ridiculous, like almost all full-size SUVs, but it must be admitted that it is very good, extremely charismatic, incredibly popular.

Just weeks after the Escalade-V went on sale, the automaker released a new commercial called Be Iconic (something like “Be Symbolic”). Not only the car but also the Dominican music producer Mafio was filmed in it. And while the video does not say anything new about the Escalade, it does include some epic shots of a huge SUV.

Despite the fact that Cadillac has big plans for the electrification of the line, the company does not intend to give up internal combustion engines. After all, this is not a Volvo or a Polestar. And not Sweden in general. The new Escalade-V uses a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 (as found on the CT5-V Blackwing) and comes with a large 2.65-liter supercharger. As a result, it is capable of 682 horsepower. Back. Power և 885 Nm of torque, which makes it the most powerful Cadillac in the history of the brand և allows you to reach a speed of 100 km / h in 4.5 seconds.

Overall, there are some notable changes to the final version of the Escalade. For example, it is equipped with fourth-generation magnetic shock absorbers (we will one day talk about this interesting, very expensive technology), as well as an adaptive Air Ride suspension. In addition, Cadillac installed stiffer rear springs in the Escalade-V. The ten-speed automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels.

But the Escalade-V differs from the usual model not only in the extreme power system. A number of exterior design changes have been made to the SUV, including a redesigned new bumper, original 22-inch wheels, red Brembo brake calipers, front and rear bumpers.

The Cadillac will sell the Escalade-V in both standard and long-wheelbase ESV versions. Its price starts from 150 thousand dollars, but judging by the video, it is worth the money.
