CCL: Chivas de Guadalajara vs New York Red Bulls – First Leg Recap & Highlights

Chivas de Guadalajara picked up a 1-0 victory against the 10-man New York Red Bulls in the first leg of their 2018 CONCACAF Champions League semifinal series.

After a fairly even start to the game, Chivas took the lead thanks to a defensive miscue. Tyler Adams turned the ball over near midfield as he tried to play out of the box, with Rodolfo Pizarro quickly countering; he laid the ball off for Isaác Brizuela, who slid it into the lower corner to make it 1-0 in the 26th minute.

Clausura 2018 Copa MX Final Set

The finalists are known, with Toluca and Necaxa advancing from the semifinals to contest the Clausura 2018 Copa MX Gran Final.

Toluca needed penalties to get past Zacatepec; after a 1-1 draw in regulation, the Diablos Rojos ultimately triumphed from the spot, 4-3.

Necaxa was able to beat Santos Laguna in regulation, with a 2-1 victory putting the Rayos into the final.

CCL: Toronto vs América – Semifinal First Leg Recap and Highlights

Toronto FC picked up a 3-1 victory against América in the first leg of their 2018 CONCACAF Champions League semifinal series on a cold, rainy night at BMO Field.

The hosts opened the scoring early on from the penalty spot. In the 8th minute, Edson Álvarez was called for bringing down Sebastian Giovinco in the box, and the Italian stepped up to take the ensuing penalty kick. He sent Agustín Marchesín the wrong way to give Toronto the 1-0 lead.

Clausura 2018 Copa MX Semifinals: Where to Watch

Three teams from Liga MX and one from Ascenso MX will compete this week to reach the Gran Final of the Copa MX.

The semifinals are single elimination games held at the home of the higher seed. If a game is tied at the end of regulation, the winner will be decided by penalty kicks (no extra time will be played).

2018 CONCACAF Semifinal First Legs: Where to Watch

The 2018 CONCACAF Champions League semifinals get underway this week, with two teams from Liga MX and two from MLS looking for a spot in the finals.

First, on Tuesday, Club América will visit Toronto FC; then, on Wednesday, Chivas de Guadalajara will host the New York Red Bulls.

The semifinals are a total goals, aggregate score series; away goals are tiebreakers.

Disciplinary Report: Clausura 2018 Week 13

The Disciplinary Committee has suspended one player, upheld a red card appeal, and opened an investigation in the aftermath of this weekend’s Jornada 13 games.

The lone suspension goes to Osvaldo Martínez of Santos Laguna, who received a one-game suspension for receiving two yellow cards in the same game.
