Oily, sweet and very hot! Parents, of course, always curse them for the abundance of powdered sugar, but they bought it anyway. We will not swear, but we will not buy cakes either – we will cook them at home.
Of course, cakes are not the most healthy dessert, because they are cooked in boiling oil. However, sometimes you can and should be happy. The process of preparing them does not take much time. Another thing is that the buns are made from yeast dough, which means that it will be necessary to give the yeast time to wake up, and then let the dough rest. But it is worth it.
- leben – 250 ml
- Water – 100 ml
- yeast – 11 grams (one bag)
- egg – 2 pieces.
- ghee – 125 grams
- sugar – 2.5 tbsp. to.
- salt – 1.5 tsp
- flour – 1 kg
- vegetable oil for frying
- powdered sugar for sprinkling
We collect water and milk in a small saucepan and heat it: our task is to dissolve the sugar and yeast. Mix everything well and cover with a towel. Within 15 minutes, the yeast will have time to wake up and start working.
In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs with the melted butter and salt. You can add vanillin or vanilla extract if you want your donut to be more flavorful.
After 15 minutes, we send the milk with the awakened yeast to the egg-butter mixture. Gradually, we begin to add sifted flour to them.
The dough should become elastic – not sticking to your hands, but not heavy, clogged with flour. We cover with a towel and send to rest in a warm place for an hour and a half. During this time, the dough should double in size. When it is ready, knead it again and roll it into a layer 1-2 cm thick.
Keep cutting our cake. Glass and glazing to form a hole in the center are great. Cover the blanks with a towel, let them rise.
It’s time to pour vegetable oil into a high-sided frying pan (you can use a deep frying pan if you have one), heat it and cook the buns in it until golden brown. It should float and not touch the bottom!
Lay the ready-made cakes on paper towels to drain excess oil, and dust generously with powdered sugar. Under the influence of temperature, it will melt and cover it with an incredibly appetizing white crust.
