What do you need?
- 4-5 pieces. onion
- 250 g of wheat flour
- From 2 egg yolks
- 80 g of sugar
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1-2 tbsp. l. milk
- 120 g butter
- cheddar cheeses, suluguni, Russian – 100 g each
- 150 ml cream 20%
- 2 eggs
- 100 ml of white wine
- Thyme 2-3 branches
- 20 ml of vegetable oil
- sugar – 80 g + 1 tbsp. l.
- 2 tbsp salt
How to prepare.
Step 1. Combine flour with salt and sugar. Add the diced butter և quickly spread in the flour. Then add the egg yolks (do not throw away the egg whites), grind the dough into crumbs. Add milk և continue kneading dough.
Step 2. Wrap the prepared dough in a layer and put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Step 3. Cut the onion into thin quarter rings.
Step 4. Heat a large frying pan with vegetable oil and butter. Add onion, lightly fry, then add a little white wine, sugar, a couple of sprigs of thyme. Stir and let the onion cook until soft golden brown.
Step 5. Grate the cheeses with a large grater, pour into a deep bowl. Set aside grated suluguni և cheddar to dress.
Step 6. Prepare the sauce for the pie. Fill the grated cheddar and suluguni with cream. Add the remaining egg whites to one whole egg. Mix.
Step 7. Arrange baking parchment on the detachable pie. Coat the bottom of the mold with flour.
Step 8. Roll the dough into a 3-4 mm thick layer, wrap it around the roll և carefully transfer it to the mold. Spread the dough evenly around the perimeter of the egg, kneading the sides. Drill holes in the bottom of the dough with a fork. Refrigerate the egg with the dough for 10 minutes, then send it in the red oven for 10-15 minutes.
Step 9 Remove the pie base from the oven. Put the stewed onion in the egg, distribute it evenly, pour the sauce on the cake, mix it with the onion. Add some grated cheese. Send the cake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 25 minutes.
