Atlante 1-3 Chivas de Guadalajara (Group 6)
Atlante took the lead but couldn’t hold it as Chivas de Guadalajara came from behind to earn a 1-3 away win in this Group 6 match. The victory ensures Chivas will advance to the knockout rounds of the Copa MX. The opening goal came in the 24th minute through Fernando Espinosa, whose shot from the center of the box made it 1-0.
Chivas had to wait until the second half to find a goal of their own, with Carlos Fierro making it 1-1 in the 61st minute. A few minutes later, both teams were reduced to 10 men with the sending offs of Carlos Cauich and Hedgardo Marín. Ultimately it was Chivas who took advantage of the extra space on the field, with goals from Eduardo López in the 84th minute and Michelle Benítez in stoppage time to give them the 1-3 victory.

Necaxa 1-2 Jaguares de Chiapas (Group 5)
Necaxa took the lead but couldn’t hold it as they fell 1-2 to Jaguares de Chiapas. The result ends the Rayos’ unbeaten run in the competition, while also giving Jaguares their first victory. Necaxa started the game off well, and they took the lead in just the 8th minute. Fabián Espíndola finished off a loose ball after it rebounded against the woodwork to give the hosts the 1-0 lead.
Jaguares didn’t properly settle into the game until the second half, and even then it took a mistake by Necaxa to allow them to get on the board. Luis Miño recovered the ball at the top of the box and sent it past Yosgart Gutiérrez to make it 1-1 in the 67th minute. With the score level, the intensity of the game ratcheted up as both teams looked for a winner. Just as the game was looking destined to end 1-1, Enrique Esqueda completed the comeback for Jaguares with his 86th minute goal.
With the 1-2 win, Jaguares reach four points while Necaxa still has four.
Monterrey 5-0 Dorados de Sinaloa (Group 7)
Monterrey remained perfect in the Copa MX with a 5-0 dismantling of Dorados de Sinaloa in this Group 7 game. The loss keeps Dorados winless in the competition. The Rayados opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, when Efraín Juárez headed home a free kick from Dorlan Pabón to make it 1-0. Soon after that, Pabón provided another assist, this time to Edwin Cardona, as Monterrey took the 2-0 lead in the 29th minute. Just before halftime, Rogelio Funes Mori made it 3-0 to put the game out of reach for Dorados with 45 minutes left to play.
The hosts continued to dominate in the second half, and their continued pressure paid off as Funes Mori finished off his brace in the 71st minute to make it 4-0. Debutant Ángel López put the icing on the cake with his goal in the 82nd minute to give the Rayados a commanding 5-0 lead.
With the 5-0 win, Monterrey reaches six points while Dorados remain on zero.
Zacatepec 1-3 León (Group 9)
León easily dispatched Zacatepec 1-3 in this Group 9 match to remain perfect in the Copa MX to date. The visitors opened the scoring in the 12th minute, when Darío Burbano finished off the rebound after Carlos Peña’s header hit the crossbar. León continued to press forward after the opening goal, while Zacatepec looked for an equalizer. They came close through a free kick and then a corner kick, which was cleared off the line by Harold Isaza.
Moments into the second half, the hosts leveled the match through Emiliano Bonfigli, who made it 1-1 in the 46th minute. However, León soon retook the lead, with Carlos Guzmán finishing off a good team play to make it 1-2 in the 65th minute. Diego Novaretti then put the game out of reach in the 86th minute when his volley made it 1-3.
With the 1-3 win, León reaches six points while Zacatepec remains on zero.
Mineros de Zacatecas 1-1 Puebla – Group 4
Mineros de Zacatecas snatched a draw with Puebla after their late equalizer made it 1-1. The visitors had taken the lead just before halftime, after Eduardo Pérez sent in a good cross for Jerónimo Amione, who made it 0-1 in the 41st minute.
Atlante 2-2 Celaya – Group 1
Atlante came from behind to draw Celaya 2-2 on Tuesday, which was enough to earn the Potros a spot in the knockout rounds. Celaya, despite going unbeaten through the group stage, was eliminated.
Celaya opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 11th minute through Ángel Reyna after Jimmy Bermúdez was sanctioned for a foul on Rafael Murguía. Celaya then made it 2-0 in the 37th minute with another PK, also for a foul committed by Bermúdez, also converted by Reyna.
Alebrijes de Oaxaca 2-1 Monarcas Morelia – Group 4
Alebrijes de Oaxaca earned their first win of the Copa MX with a 2-1 victory against Monarcas Morelia. It was Oaxaca’s final game of the group stage and the victory ensures they will have a spot in the upcoming round of sixteen. The hosts took the lead early on after Sebastián Loeschbor was called for a penalty in just the fourth minute. Óscar Fernández converted the PK to make it 1-0 for Alebrijes.
Querétaro 2-0 Dorados de Sinaloa – Group 8
Querétaro defeated Dorades de Sinaloa 2-0 on Tuesday night to move into first place in Group 8. The hosts took the lead in the 22nd minute. Édgar Benítez got free on the left, drove into the box, and shot past the onrushing keeper only for the ball to be cleared off the line by the defense. However, the rebound fell back to “Pájaro”, who sent the ball to Patricio Rubio for the finish.
Celaya vs Atlante – Group 1
Celaya and Atlante are both still looking for their first win in this competition after playing out a 1-1 draw in a game that finished 10 vs 10. Celaya started the game off better and they took the lead in just the sixth minute, when Ángel Reyna sent in a cross for Hugo López, who made no mistake with his finish. The hosts had a few chances to add to their lead but they were unable to capitalize on them.
Chivas de Guadalajara 1-4 Jaguares de Chiapas – Group 2
Chivas de Guadalajara took the lead but couldn’t hold it as Jaguares de Chiapas fought back for a 1-4 away victory. The hosts had the first good chance of the game before the 10-minute mark, when Miguel Ángel Ponce nearly beat Liborio Sánchez with a powerful shot. However, it wasn’t until the 37th minute that El Rebaño found the breakthrough, with Edson Torres finishing off a great individual play to make it 1-0.
