In the first leg of the historic first-ever Liga MX Femenil Gran Final, Pachuca earned a 2-0 victory against Chivas de Guadalajara. The game drew a Liga MX Femenil-record 28,955 to the Estadio Hidalgo.
The first chance of the game went to the visitors, with Brenda Viramontes trying her luck, but Pachuca goalkeeper Alejandría Godínez made the save. With the support of the crowd, the Tuzas quickly grew into the game and began to control possession.
The Apertura 2017 Liga MX Femenil Gran Final will be played over two legs this week. On Monday, Pachuca will host Chivas de Guadalajara in the first leg; on Friday, Chivas will host Pachuca in the second leg.
The final is an aggregate, total-goals series; away goals are not tiebreakers. If the aggregate is tied at the end of the second leg, the title will be decided on penalties.
