Disciplinary Report: Clausura 2019 Week 12

The Disciplinary Committee has suspended one player and upheld a red card appeal in the aftermath of this weekend’s Jornada 12 games.

Pachuca filed a petition of non-conformity regarding the red card given to Óscar Murillo, and the Disciplinary Committee upheld the petition, clearing Murillo to play in the Tuzos’ next game.

That leaves William Tesillo of León as the lone suspended player this week, after he was given a one-game suspension for receiving two yellow cards in the same game.

The Disciplinary Committee has suspended four players and a coach, upheld a red card appeal, and overturned two others in the aftermath of this weekend’s Jornada 4 games.

The Committee received three petitions of nonconformity regarding the red cards given to América’s Jorge Sánchez and Monterrey’s Avilés Hurtado and Nicolás Sánchez during the eventful game between the two sides this past Saturday.

The Disciplinary Committee has suspended eight players, upheld a red card appeal, and opened an investigation into a coach in the aftermath of this weekend’s Jornada 15 games.

Alexander Mejía of León and Jaine Barreiro of Atlas were given one-game suspensions for denial of a clear goal-scoring opportunity, while Osvaldo González of Toluca and Nicolás Castillo of Pumas UNAM were suspended one game for a lack of respect towards the match officials.

For the second consecutive week, Atlas filed a petition of nonconformity regarding the red card given to Jaine Barreiro, and for the second consecutive week, the Disciplinary Committee upheld the petition, clearing Barreiro to play in Atlas’s next game.

The Disciplinary Committee has suspended one player and heard three red card appeals in the aftermath of this weekend’s Jornada 5 games.

América, Atlas, and Chivas de Guadalajara filed petitions of nonconformity regarding the red cards given to Edson Álvarez, Jaine Barreiro, and Jair Pereira, respectively, and all three petitions were upheld, meaning those three players have been cleared to participate in Jornada 6.

América Appeals Goltz Red Card

Logo AmericaThe second leg of the Apertura 2016 Gran Final saw five players ejected – four from the field and one from the bench – as the match finished 9 vs 9.

Club América, who received three of the red cards, has filed a petition of non-conformity regarding the straight red given to Paolo Goltz in the 108th minute of the game.

That card was one of three handed out following a brawl between the teams, but Goltz was not one of the primary participants in that event.

The Disciplinary Committee “will analyze the presented evidence” and make a ruling later in the week.
