Clausura 2019 Week 11 Standings & Statistics

León remained in first place with their 2-0 win against Veracruz, while Querétaro remained last after their 4-1 loss to Tigres UANL.

There are no unbeaten teams remaining after Monterrey suffered their first loss of the season, while Veracruz remains the only winless one.

In the relegation standings, Veracruz remained in last place in the Tabla de Cociente with their loss, while relegation rival Lobos drew.

Tijuana vs Monterrey – Jornada 11 Recap and Highlights

Tijuana brought a halt to Monterrey’s season-long unbeaten streak with a 1-0 victory on Saturday night. The result gives the Xolos four wins in their last five, while the Rayados are now winless in two.

The first chance of the game went to the visitors, with Dorlan Pabón testing Gibrán Lajud early on. But Tijuana responded with a chance of their own moments later, when Fabián Castillo got into the box and forced a good save out of Marcelo Barovero.

Chivas de Guadalajara vs América – Jornada 11 Recap and Highlights

Chivas de Guadalajara and América faced off for the second time in four days – in the Copa MX and now in the league – and the result was the same: a 2-0 win for the Águilas. The result gives América back-to-back wins and keeps them unbeaten in four, while El Rebaño are winless in four, with three losses in that span.

Chivas, having lost the first SuperClásico, looked to bounce back in this one, where they were the home team. But the hosts struggled to get into the game. Alejandro Zendejas, making his league debut on the left wing in place of the injured Carlos Cisneros, was a weak point, and Renato Ibarra took full advantage in the third minute.

Monarcas Morelia vs Lobos BUAP – Jornada 11 Recap and Highlights

Lobos BUAP took the lead but couldn’t hold it as Monarcas Morelia came back for a 1-1 draw. The result keeps La Monarquía unbeaten in three but winless in eight, while the Licántropos are winless in two.

The visitors started the game off stronger, although they struggled to convert their chances. In the 9th minute Michael Orozco failed to convert a golden opportunity when he managed to send the ball over the bar from within the six-yard box.

Disciplinary Report: Apertura 2018 Week 11

The Disciplinary Committee has suspended four players in the aftermath of this weekend’s Jornada 11 games.

Cruz Azul will be without both José Madueña and Milton Caraglio, who were given one-game suspensions for serious foul play, while Rubens Sambueza of Toluca was suspended one game for using offensive or insulting language and/or gestures.

Apertura 2018 Week 11 Standings & Statistics

Cruz Azul remained in first despite their 3-1 loss to Pachuca, while Atlas remained last despite their 2-0 victory against Toluca. That was Atlas’s first win of the season, meaning there are no winless teams remaining in the Apertura 2018 season.

In the relegation standings, Lobos BUAP remained last despite their 3-1 win against Morelia, although they gained some ground as relegation rivals Veracruz and Querétaro lost and Puebla drew.

Necaxa vs Santos Laguna – Jornada 11 Recap and Highlights

Santos Laguna ended Necaxa’s home unbeaten streak with a 0-1 away win. The result is a second straight loss for the Rayos, while the Laguneros remain unbeaten in three.

Necaxa came out looking to defend their good home record, while Santos knew they had the opportunity to move into second place with a win. After trading chances, the visitors took the lead in the 22nd minute.

Monterrey vs Tijuana – Jornada 11 Recap and Highlights

After 84 minutes and 34 seconds, the game between Monterrey and Tijuana was halted due to the weather and field conditions, with Monterrey’s 3-0 lead being declared the final score. The result snaps a four-game winless streak for the Rayados, while the Xolos saw their three-game winning streak halted.

Tijuana started the game off well as they controlled the ball, but it was Monterrey who took an early lead in the rain as Rogelio Funes Mori sent his low shot in off the post to make it 1-0 in the 10th minute.

Pachuca vs Cruz Azul – Jornada 11 Recap and Highlights

Pachuca extended their home unbeaten streak to four games with a 3-1 victory against 9-man Cruz Azul. The result snaps a two-game winless streak for the Tuzos, while La Máquina has now lost two of their last three.

The game started off with an early chance for the visitors as Adrián Aldrete tested Óscar Pérez – making his first league start since November 2017 – in the 2nd minute, but it was the hosts who took the early lead.
