It was honors even in the Apertura 2018 edition of the Clásico Joven as Cruz Azul and América played out a 0-0 draw. The result keeps the Águilas unbeaten in eight games and at the top of the table, while La Máquina remains unbeaten at home but winless in two overall.

A late goal gave Pumas UNAM a 0-1 away win against Tijuana. The result is a second straight away win for the universitarios, who are unbeaten in eight overall, while the Xolos have now lost two in a row and are winless in four.

Chivas de Guadalajara took the lead but couldn’t hold it as Monarcas Morelia came back for a 1-2 win. The result is a third straight victory for the michoacanos, while El Rebaño remains winless in five and also winless at home in four.

The result ends a two-game winless streak for the Tuzos and keeps them in the playoff conversation, while the Tiburones Rojos have now lost two in a row and are winless in seven.
Veracruz came out attacking as they looked to halt their poor run of form at home, but they struggled to create goal-scoring chances outside of a few set pieces. Pachuca stayed composed and began to tilt the game in their favor with Pablo López and Víctor Guzmán providing outlets.
Santos Laguna moved into first place in the table – pending the rest of this weekend’s results – with a 1-0 win against Monterrey. The result keeps the Laguneros unbeaten at home this season, while the Rayados saw their road winless streak grow to four games.

Toluca remained in first place with their 1-0 victory against Tigres UANL, while Lobos BUAP remained in last with their 1-0 loss to Cruz Azul.
That loss dropped the Licántropos into last place in the relegation table as Veracruz’s 0-1 victory against Chivas allowed the Tiburones Rojos to leapfrog Lobos, while relegation rivals Atlas drew and Querétaro lost.
