The Disciplinary Committee has suspended seven players and one coach and fined a player in the aftermath of this weekend’s Jornada 9 games.
The standout suspension goes to Miguel Layún of Monterrey, who was given a two-game suspension for violent conduct.
The other six players were all suspended for one game: Francisco Córdova of América, José Esquivel of FC Juárez, Francisco Acuña of Puebla, and Aldo Cruz of Tijuana all for serious foul play, and Luis Quiñones of Tigres UANL and Jorge Segura of Atlas for receiving two yellow cards in the same game.
