Sweetness is not happiness

Experts are sure that children should not skip their morning meal. Breakfast is an important part of a child’s diet. But what if a student refuses to eat in the morning?

Clinical nutritionist Anna Melikhina, for example, recommends starting some kind of buffet. This is what many kids love about hotels.

“Buy several types of cereal and muesli without added sugar, and pour them into appropriate containers. Also put in natural yogurt, milk, kefir, berries, fruits, seeds, and nuts. The child will have his own breakfast in a minute,” the expert advises.

According to the expert, a spoonful of honey or jam, which the student himself adds to this breakfast, is insignificant compared to the sugar that the manufacturer contains in standard cereals or sweet yogurt.

The most common breakfast for a student is traditional porridge. “I recommend paying attention to the one that provides dietary fiber, since it is not enough in school meals. Take buckwheat, oatmeal, bulgur, quinoa or millet. Cook with milk or water. Add dried fruits or grated cheese”, continues the interlocutor Moscow 24 “.

But a nutritionist advises not to torture children with porridge if they categorically refuse to do so. For breakfast, for example, scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs and boiled eggs are suitable. May be completed with a slice of whole grain bread, vegetables or fruits. According to a nutritionist, cottage cheese, cheese, and cheese casserole are fine. It can be served with fruit, natural yogurt or smoothies.

“Studies show that sugary breakfasts lower children’s performance in school,” Anna Melekhina says. Therefore, parents are advised to choose recipes that contain a small amount of sugar.

Cheese tagine with dried apricots

Cheese tagine is a classic that almost all children adore. Chef Alexander Ryagozov recommends adding dried fruits to the dish to make it tastier.

Ingredients: sour cream – 4 tablespoons, semolina – 2 tablespoons, cottage cheese – 400 grams, eggs – 2 pcs., butter – 2 tablespoons, sugar – 3 tablespoons, a pinch of salt, dried apricots to taste.

“Beat the eggs well with sugar. To the resulting mass add cottage cheese, sour cream, semolina, dried apricots, soft butter and a pinch of salt. Mix everything until smooth,” says the chef.

Now you need to grease the form with butter and put the resulting mass there. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes. Ready casserole can be decorated with pieces of dried apricots. Served with sour cream.

apple pies

According to the expert, pancakes for breakfast are a useful option for many schoolchildren.

Ingredients: apple – 4 pieces, sugar – 3 tablespoons, flour – 7 tablespoons, eggs – 2 pieces, vanillin – 2 grams, soda on the tip of the knife, a pinch of salt.

Apples need to be grated on a coarse grater or grind in a blender. Then mix with eggs and sugar. Add flour, soda and vanillin to the resulting mass.

“Depending on the consistency, the mixture should resemble thick sour cream, so the amount of flour can vary from 6 to 8 tablespoons,” Alexander Ryagozov explains.

When the dough is ready, the pan should be heated with vegetable oil and fry the pancakes on both sides over medium heat until golden brown.

Carrot cupcake

The chef believes that the child’s breakfast should be not only tasty, but also healthy. To do this, add grated vegetables and fruits to the diet. But what if the child categorically refuses to eat zucchini or carrots? According to the expert, vegetables should be disguised as something appetizing and tasty, like a muffin.

Ingredients: flour – 200 grams, soda – 1 teaspoon, sugar – 175 grams, eggs – 2 pieces, olive oil – 150 milliliters, carrots – 2 pieces, canned pineapple – 75 grams, nuts – 75 grams.

The expert says: “Mix the sifted flour until smooth with sugar, soda, eggs and olive oil. Grate the carrots on a fine grater, put them in the dough, add the pieces of canned pineapple and walnuts.”

Then again, everything must be mixed well, and the resulting mass must be spread out into molds, pre-lubricated with oil. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 25 minutes.

Cheese juice with pear

Dairy products are a source of calcium, which is good for the growth of the body. If the child is already tired of regular cheese, Alexander Ryagozov advises making fruit juice and cottage cheese from it.

“The main thing is not to overdo it with the fat content of cottage cheese and sour cream, otherwise a schoolboy from a heavy breakfast will fall asleep,” says the chef.

Ingredients: 9% creamy cottage cheese – 150 grams, 15% sour cream – 3 tablespoons, 1 pear and 1 tablespoon of honey.

According to the chef’s recipe, the pears should be cut into small pieces and chopped in a blender. Then add cottage cheese, sour cream and honey to the blender. Mix everything well, pour the resulting mass into a glass and, if desired, decorate with pear slices.
